Ventura is a coastal beach town about a half hour south of stunning Santa Barbara or an hour and half north from Los Angeles. There are a variety of hotels in town or you could stay in nearby Ojai, which has several lovely boutique hotels and is only about 15 minutes inland from Ventura.

We have a number of hotels in town but experiences vary widely. Our recommendations are Ventura Beach Marriott set in central Ventura or the new high-end boutique Hotel San Buena in downtown Ventura. Ventura has some very good AirBNB and VRBO locations throughout town as well.

In Ojai, some local-owned options include the Hummingbird Inn and Ojai Rancho Inn. Carpinteria is one town over from Ventura to the north (right off Highway 101) and has great options too!
